Speaking of Country

Remember how I've always talked about wanting to be in my own country band?*
And remember that time I told you I was going to take some guitar lessons?*
Oh and remember how we always talk about having group sing alongs around the camp fires?*

Well, get a listen to this:
my (with Steph, Kelly and Em) newest all girl country band
SUGAR WRECKED

Mostly its just 4 girls who have yet to learn how to play an actual instrument but are obsessed with the idea of singing The Wreckers and Sugarland cover songs.

Here is a sneak peek of our first photo shoot and an inro to "the band".
Yes it's jsut individual shots of each of us on Emily's brown chair.
All holding the same guitar.
Start up companies are usually on a budget anyway.
And so are we (minus the chocolate martini that Kelly's sporting, you just can skip corners on fancy).
Here's Steph. The Tall One. She has long arms to strum the guitar like an Angel.
She enjoys wearing gold jewlery, torn jeans and flawless make up.

And Emily. The Wanderer. She can easily get lost in a song, or large groups of people.
She enjoys day drinking, mexican food and a good bottle of wine.

Kelly. The Half Sized Beauty. She's low to the ground, and she's grounded.
She enjoys Chocolate Martinis, planning VA escape missions and trips to AZ.

And LL. The Serious Artist. I can take a serious photo at anytime.
I enjoy Where's Waldo games, bronzer and not smiling.

You can look for us to come to a bar near you. Unless your bar is far away. Then, forget it.

We are currently holding auditions for anyone over the age of 2.5 that can play th spoons. Otherwise, we have to give the position to Kara and I'm a little vague on the child labor rules.

*I started talking about it maybe 2 weeks ago at Country Thunder. There was no way for you to know, don't feel bad.

* I only talk about taking guitar lessons. I don't see myself ever actually taking them. Unless they are free, come with beer and are taught by someone that looks like Jack Johnson.

* I don't camp. I don't know who I think I'm kidding. By camp fire I think I just mean someone's outdoor fireplace in a fancy backyard in the East Valley.

Who Put Wranglers On My Eye Candy?

If I save a horse and ride a Cowboy...
Who's going to save him?

I learned something last week:
COWBOYS ARE SMOKING HOT!

I've but together a little compilation of sexy belt buckled rugged hottness for you.

Doesn't Mr. Chuck Wicks (bottom) look a tad bit familiar? Like he could Matty's brother?

Take a Seat

Or a couple.

OK, I have a problem.
I recently became addicted to chairs.
That's right. CHAIRS. Don't judge.
It's more of an obsesssion actually, but still a problem none the less.

The situation:
New condo.
New couches.
New dining set.
ALL NEW FURNITURE.
It's all been picked out....except the chair!

I LOVE the idea of an accent chair in the living room.
One that doesn't neccessarily serve a purpose other than to sit there and look pretty. (hm, sounds familiar)
Anywho, did you know Target.com sells the cutest effing chairs in the world?
Cause they do.
And now I'm evern more obsessed.
How can I be forced to choose from so many amazing options?!

I think we may have to build a room onto the condo that will just house cute chairs!

FLUSH This

Recently, I took a trip to a place called Cottonwood.
Whilst there, I learned how to play a little game called "Texas Hold 'Em"
(apparently, that's just fancy talk for Poker)
But that was convenient, because I had packed my "Poker Face"

Who Bred Your American Idol?

At TMH, we often come up with funny games (shenanigans) to keep ourselves entertained, amused, in love with ourselves, etc.
Often, these games involve reality tv shows.
Season 8 of American Idol has become the latest addiction/game.

Perhaps I should preface by informing you that a) we are trendsetters and 2) Hollywood steals our thoughts & ideas for their own profit.

The widely popular A.I. game is "Which same sex parents bred that singer?".

You may be surprised to realize as you start to play, the names you can throw out of a hat when it comes to the "who looks like who" lottery.

The reason I am telling you this, and the reason I prefaced with the theivery, is this:
I would like to go on record with my SSP's (same sex parents) before Simon Cowell continues to plagarize and take credit for my good wit and love of pop culture.

Here are TMH's favorite Idol contestants and their SSP's.
Take a moment to soak it all in.

I know right?
I am DEAD ON.
I win this game every time!
*

Up first: Kris Allen (aka Freddie Lachey Jr.)
SSP's: Freddie Prinze Jr and Nick Lachey
*This one is just too obvious

Next: Adam Lambert (every HS girl's Twilight fantasy)
SSP's: Dr Christian Troy of NIP/TUCK and Criss Angel Mindfreak

Third: The Oil Drilling Roughneck Michael Sarver
SSP's: Tony Romo and King of Queens Kevin James

Then we have Stephanie's favorite: Megan Joy

Obvious SSP's: Resse Witherspoon and former Idol Carrie Underwood

And speaking of former Idol lookalikes: Allison Iraheta

SSP's: America Ferrera and Kelly Clarkson

Then there's the sexy crooner: Matt Giruad

SSP's: (hold on to your panties ladies) Justin JT Timberlake and Michael Buble

And lastly, my favorite: Danny Gokey

SSP's: None. Only sunshine and rainbows. I think he is a gift from heaven. (Thank you Charlie!)

* I know I made the game. That doesn't mean I can't be the winner.

Going Green

If St. Patrick would have been born a female (St. Patricia, perhaps?)...
Do you think should would look like this?

Happy St Patrick's Day from 2/3rds of TMH!

Petal Pusher

So I've been gone awhile.
I know.
Im sorry.
Don't hate me.

While I was out, I fell in love.
(Don't worry, Matty isn't at any risk of losing me)

I mean I fell in love...with these bad boys!
The self proclaimed "master of the stem" and Stephanie met their match this weekend.

60 yellow roses, 6 glass vases, one shabby milk crate that used to house my half full wine bottles* and TAH DOW! Love! Or lust, I can't be certain yet. It's too early to tell.

But, me being the type of girl who doesn't neccessarily believe in only "one true love"... I've got a 2nd date with a flirtatious pair of heels that have been shooting me seductive glances at the Nordstroms.

I'm such a two timing tart.

*Yes, I'm an optimist when it comes to my wine. Half full. Never half empty.
